Took this picture of Brown headed nuthatch in Wildcat pool area.  Bird was quite a way off  and did not identify until I got home.

Hit some golf balls and took picture of Yellow-throated warbler in lower parking lot.

And on the way home stopped by the POA beach area a Robin teenager and its parent looks unhappy with me.

Bluebirds had been courting the day before at the POA beach bluebird box.  They were not to be seen today.

Pileated Woodpecker and chicks

On 5/25/2014  I took this photo of a pileated Woodpecker feeding her chicks from one of the roads in Big Canoe.

On 5/26 - My astute wife, Mara – AKA Bunny, heard Pileated chicks from a hole in a tree.  We waited a while but did not see the parents.  Any one interested in going out some morning in a pontoon boat and waiting for them to show up for a picture taking session.
